Description
Summary:Global warming has been discussed and debated at length and the role of Antarctica in that debate has been vital. If we keep burning fossil fuels, global warming will melt all the ice in the world causing the sea level to rise by more than 200 feet. This will inundate a majority of the world’s coastlines. Antarctica holds four-fifths of all the ice in the world and therefore it is imperative to prevent the melting of the Antarctic ice caps. We therefore call upon all States to reach a consensus and save the continent. We do so by pointing out the flaws in the Antarctic Treaty System and the need to put stringent regulations in place to curb human activities in the region.
