| Summary: | DYNAMIC STRATIFICATION OF TILLS, AND OTHER PROCESSES IN THE BASAL PART OF MORAINES OF THE QUATERNARY ICE SHEETSThe analysis of the Mochty section (west of Zakroczym, north of Warszawa) and also of other sections in the vicinity of Warszawa shows that the layered nature and compaction of the older tills are the result of their dragging in nonfrozen state under the bottom of the ice sheet. Many disturbances in the pattern of tills and of rock material derived from the substratum do not show glacitectonic character, and are connected with the processes that have taken place during various stages of the development of the bottom till horizon. These process resulted also i.a. in undulation of tills, diapiric structures, and elevations of the egzarated substratum being of fossil drumline character.
