Summary:Context: The research presents the pedagogical practice of the superhero/superheroine from the Antarctic continent as a resource to develop polar education in Brazil. The methodology consists of three stages. In the first stage, materials such as slides, maps, videos, and photographs of Antarctica are presented, providing students with an overview of this remote environment and its environmental issues. In the second stage, students participate in debates about Antarctica, questioning misinformation often found in the media, which allows for a more accurate understanding of the region. Considerations: Although students face difficulties in thinking of concrete solutions to intervene in Antarctica's environmental problems, the activity provides relevant results, with significant progress in students' understanding of Antarctica. The pedagogical practice proves promising in promoting learning about polar education in Brazil, but it is important to encourage students to develop more concrete solutions to the problems faced in Antarctica and explore creative pedagogical approaches to enrich polar education in the country.
