Analizuję, w jaki sposób szwedzka władza kolonialna wpłynęła na Saamów oraz dziką przyrodę Norrlandii.W pierwszym rozdziale przedstawiam historię saamskiego społeczeństwa, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem XX wieku. Przedstawiam również linię fabularną poematu i jego charakterystykę w porównaniu z typowymi cechami tego gatunku. Drugi rozdział poświęcony jest teoriom postkolonialnym, ekokrytycznym i genderowym, z punktem wyjścia w teorii władzy Michela Foucault.W rozdziale trzecim analizuję Saamów jako obiekt władzy kolonialnej. Osobno przedstawiam język szwedzki jako narzędzie władzy. Rozdział czwarty poświęcony jest naturze i relacji, jaka łączyła z nią Saamów. Analizuję, w jaki sposób środowisko naturalne zostało zniszczone w wyniku działań kolonialnych i jak z czasem zmieniała się relacja między Saamami a przyrodą.W rozdziale piątym przedstawiam, w jaki sposób utracili oni swoją tożsamość i jak starali się zbudować ją na nowo. The purpose of this thesis is to read Linnea Axelsson's epic poem "Ædnan" from a postcolonial, ecocritical and gender-oriented perspective. I analyze how the Sami and the wild nature in Norrland were affected by the Swedish colonial power.In the first chapter, I present the history of the Sami people with a special focus on the 20th century. I also present the plot lines of the poem and its characteristics in comparison to typical features of this genre. The second chapter is devoted to postcolonial, ecocritical and gender-oriented theories, drawing on Michel Foucault's theory of power.In the third chapter I analyze the Sami as an object of colonial power. Separately, I present the Swedish language as a tool of power. The fourth chapter is devoted to nature and the relationship the Sami had with it. I analyze how the environment was destroyed due to the colonial actions and how the relationship between the Sami and nature has changed over time.In the fifth chapter, I present how they lost their identity and how they strove to construct it anew. Syftet med denna uppsats är att läsa Linnea Axelssons epos ” Ædnan” ur ett postkolonialt, ekokritiskt och genusorienterat perspektiv. Jag analyserar hur samerna och den vilda naturen i Norrland påverkades av den svenska koloniala makten.I det första kapitlet presenterar jag samelandets historia med särskilt fokus på 1900-talet. Jag framställer också eposets handlingslinjer samt dess särdrag i jämförelse med typiska egenskaper av denna genre. Det andra kapitlet ägnas åt postkoloniala, ekokritiska och genusorienterade teorier med utgångspunkt i Michel Foucaults maktteori.I det tredje kapitlet analyserar jag samerna som ett objekt för kolonialmakten. Separat presenterar jag det svenska språket som ett maktredskap. Det fjärde kapitlet ägnas åt naturen och det förhållande som samerna hade till den. Jag analyserar hur miljön förstördes på grund av maktens åtgärder samt hur förhållandet mellan samerna och natur har förändrats över tiden.I det femte kapitlet framställer jag hur samerna förlorade sin identitet och hur strävade de efter att konstruera den på nytt.
