Theme of this MA thesis is "Revenge in the Icelandic family sagas". In "Introduction" we can find informations about literature, which was used in thesis and about the main purpose of the masters. The first chapter is called "Mediaeval Iceland". Its theme is the history of mediaeval Iceland and Iceland's literature from this period, especially the Old Iclendic sagas. The second chapter is about revenge in Middle Ages and about a definition of feud. In The third chapter we can find analysis of historic sources. It is about instances of the revenge, which we can find in the chosen Iclendic family sagas. The Ending includes conclusions from analysis of sources.
