Description
Summary:Nathusius’s Pipistrelle is characteristic for forest ecosystems of various types as well as parks. Summer roosts are in hollow trees, under tree bark, in wooden elements of buildings, bat houses and birdhouses. Maternity colonies are in wooden elements of barns, houses and churches, while hibernation roosts were recorded in hollow trees, piles of firewood and crevices of cliffs, cave entrances and facades. This species is a long-distance migrant, sometimes for over 1,000 km. Since 1999 only five individuals were ringed in Serbia. Stanković D, Paunović M, Raković M, Editors.
