Description
Summary:1. The distribution of temperatures and salinities off the west coast of Norway have been studied, based on observations from cruises in February 1956 and March 1968. 2. The main flow of Coast water follows the edge of the shelf between Stad and Grip. West of Grip it divides into two branches. One follows the slope northwards, the other flows to the east and follows the coast northwards. 3. The Atlantic water follows mainly the slope, but branches of Atlantic water move to the east in the troughs between the banks.
