Description
Summary:The dorsal aspect target strength functions of six fishes at two ultrasonic frequencies are presented in tabular and graphical form. Each table presents the value of the target strength function for tilt angles ranging from -45 to +45 degrees inclusive at one-degree intervals. The fishes are cod (Gadus morhua), saithe (Pollachius virens), pollack (Pollachius pollachius), herring (Clupea harengus),sprat (Sprattus sprattus) and mackerel (Scomber scombrus). The frequencies of measurement were 38 and 120 kMz. The source of the data is Nakken and Olsen's 1971 study of the target strengths of fish.
