| Summary: | Since 1991, Atlantic salmon has been caught in the Norwegian Sea during trawl surveys camed out by the Institute of Marine Research, Bergen. For the first time it has been possible to study the feeding habits, distribution, migration and growth of postsmolt Atlantic salmon in the Norwegian Sea. Older salmon were caught in smaller quantities. Experiments have confirmed that the RN "Johan Hjort" may conduct salmon investigations using trolling and drifting lines parallel to the ordinary survey programmes. The increasing fisheries in the Norwegian Sea may lead to higher bycatches of salmon and should be monitored. NORSK SAMMENDRAG:Siden 1991 er det fanget laks på flere av HI'S tokt i Norskehavet om sommeren. For første gang har man kunnet innhente kunnskap om ernæring, fordeling, vandring og vekst av postsmolt laks i Norskehavet. Eldre laks er fanget i mindre antall. Det er blitt utført forsøk med dorg og drivline fra F/F "Johan Hjort" som viste at fartøyet kan utføre lakseundersøkelser parallelt med ordinær toktvirksomhet. Økende fiskeriaktivitet i Norskehavet kan føre til øket bifangst av laks og bør overvåkes.
