| Summary: | The crab investigations off the coast of Nordland in the autumn of 1977 were carried out in the area east of Myken and later on in a more northerly area between Helligvær and Brænsund. The results from the first area indicated a crab stock which seems capable of supporting a fishery. Some reasonable concentrations of crabs, which could be exploitable, were found east of Helligvær in the northern area. However, further north in this area the crab stocks do not appear sufficiently abundant for a commercial fishery. |
