Okerstrom has been building a summer kitchen this week. Mr. and Mrs. A.E. Ericson gave a pleasant dancing party Friday evening. We are promise some fine music at the coming school exercises. Read the Farmers’ Mercantile Co’s, “Ad” in another column. Gilbert Anderson is reported as being down with a bad cold. For the next two weeks we offer 2lb can of Blackberries for 5c. Swanson & Mrytengreen. Chicken Pox has taken the place of the mumps in this vicinity during the past week. Olof Matthews, Lewis Mattson and Dr. J. Headlund of Galva were in our village Monday on business. S. Swanson took some stock to Ulah Tuesday. He had sold it to the stock buyer of Ulah J. Rogers. We have had so many visitors during the past three weeks that the door knobs are worn down to a fine point. Our subscription list is steadily increasing. A.F. Nelson has our thanks for the good work he had been doing for us. George Hoar of Sioux City Iowa who has been visiting relatives near this place for the past few weeks took his departure Tuesday. Don’t fail to examine the Peoria Champion Broadcast Seeder before purchasing—it will please you—we know it will. O. Olson & Son. P.L. Johnson went to Princeton on business Thursday. This is only one of the many excursions that P.L. makes but we cannot chronicle all of them. A.E. Ericson and family packed their household movables last Monday and departed for Moline where they will make their home for the future. We are sorry to lose them, but our loss is Moline’s gain.
