Summary:Schoengastia huxsolli is described as new from specimens collected free living and from Rattus rattus from Thailand. Schoengastia vandersandei, Schoengastia philipi, Schoengastia tayluri and Schoengastia whartoni are redescribed and supplementary information provided for Schoengastia diannae. Host and locality records are summarized for the 25 species in the genus and subgenus Schoengastia. A key to the species of Schoengastia ( Schoengastia ) is given.
