Description
Summary:The dynamics of copepod development are described and suggestions made as to how they may have influenced the formation of capelin feeding grounds in the central Barents Sea during summer and autumn of 1984, 1989, and 1992. Interannual differences in spatial, species, and age structure of plankton are discussed, and their relationships with environmental factors are shown. Some common features of seasonal variation in plankton biomass, including predation by capelin, are traced.
