Description
Summary:The Agreed Minutes provide a method for identifying the relevant area for the purpose of delimiting the area of overlap. While the apportioning ratio delimiting the area of interest is fixed at a level, the delimitation line is subject to possible adjustments in light of the recommendations of the Commission. Indeed, the identification of the area of overlapping entitlement is rendered contingent upon the relevant recommendations of the Commission. Of further interest is the fact that given the particular physical characteristics of the area, the first step in the delimitation method, the drawing of an equidistance line, cannot be considered to have influenced the drawing of the prospective delimitation line in the area beyond 200 nautical miles in the Irminger Sea.
