Description
Summary:The annual CSEB National Student Conference is a Canadian conference for students by students. The hosting university changes every year and attracts highly motivated graduate students in the field of epidemiology and biostatistics to disseminate current research methods and findings. The conference provides a platform for professional development and an avenue to network with colleagues and more experienced researchers. This year, the conference was held at Memorial University in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador and attracted approximately 120 graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in medicine, general and life sciences, health sciences, mathematics and statistics, sociology, psychology, health geography, and other relevant fields of study. All abstract submissions were double-blind reviewed prior to the conference. Throughout the conference, all oral and poster presentations were evaluated by two judges. Abstracts published here received high scores by judges at the conference. Melody Morton Ninomiya & Jennifer Woodrow, Co-Chairs CSEB 2013 National Student Conference Planning Committee
