Summary: | This dissertation treats with the dynamics of existence and installation of plots of Organic Agriculture within the agroenvironment and the influence of their spatial proximity and contiguity from geospatial entities that constitute it and they vary in type, geometrical form and size. These are elements that develop in geoinformational formats that can be fully elaborated and managed only through sophisticated implementations and methods of GIS software. This approach has been fulfilled through the development of methodology of Multicriteria Analysis for three Study Areas in Greece, of different size scale, focusing to the estimation of geospatial levels of punctual and polygonal form. The ascription of weights of importance to every criterion and sub-criterion which was considered under presuppositions that it participates to the structure of the environment, resulted to the production of the Index of Suitability of Bioregions (ISBr). This geospatial element corresponds to the spatial planning of the implicit territories for the installation of biological exploitations, developing at the same time a series of alternative scenarios of factors’ priorities. Through this methodology, an Environmental Umbrella is created focusing to the protection of the environment and the spatial distribution of Wild Flora and Fauna, with dominant specie the Brown Bear (Ursus arctos, L.). Simultaneously, efforts for sustainable development and maintenance of biodiversity are consolidated, as well as the improvement of the quality of the natural resources. Finally, the establishment of the term of Precision Organic Agriculture (POA) and the extension of BioGeoCode develop even further the combination of the agricultural sector with GIS in order to support the environmentally responsible, active citizen. Simultaneously, they offer through contribution of new technologies administrative standards for quality products, economical support to the bioproducers and health to the consumers, as well as for the natural environment. |
