Description
Summary:Fotfavoriten AB, a foot care company located in Sollefttå in Northern Sweden, is an example of how local government fires staff only to reengage them as entrepreneurs delivering similar service. The case is typi- cal for the social sector and may mark a trend. The result is often felt to be positive both by the entrepreneur, who is now more directly in charge of her or his earnings, and the end consumer. The CEO of Fotfavoriten AB, Eva Wörmann, waited a long time be- fore she dared to take the necessary steps and reeducate herself. Social sec- tor workers often need help and training in business subjects before they realize their new role as entrepreneurs. The sooner they get this assistance the quicker they can enter their new job; and the smaller the costs to society for this working transition.Today, Fotfavoriten AB is a growing company. It has managed to get a contract which gives the company the privilege to treat all of the com- mune’s patients. The CEO herself is a renowned foot therapist in the region. krAft project, Case ID-008
