Summary: | The EU EUROCLIM project is developing a web-based system and portal for climate monitoring and climate-change projections for Europe. It is monitoring changes in sea ice, snow and glaciers (i.e. the cryosphere), mainly by satellites, in the Arctic and Northern Europe. Variables for climate projections are available for the whole of Europe. Both observed and climate model products are available to download. The climate model is validated partly by using observed data. EuroClim is intended for use by scientists, professionals and non-technical users. This paper describes the EuroClim system and initial evaluation results from user panel sessions. http://enviroinfo.eu/sites/default/files/pdfs/vol110/0390.pdf |
