Study of polar faculae with north pole coverage of the Sun

We present here a description of the main characteristics of faculae at the poles of the Sun (polar faculae PFe) observed in a series of observations covering the north solar pole. Description
Summary:We present here a description of the main characteristics of faculae at the poles of the Sun (polar faculae PFe) observed in a series of observations covering the north solar pole. Statistics of a group of these PFe are used to estimate the contrast behaviour from [mü] = 0.6 towards the limb as well as their magnetic field. Hα is also observed to analyse the behaviour of PFe in the chromosphere. Proceedings of a workshop held at Göttingen September 27 - 29, 2006
