Description
Summary:S.4-23 During the last 100 years there has been a dramatic change in technological development and growth phases of industries. We have moved from industrial society to service society and are rapidly moving towards an information society. Today there are 18,6 million people (51 per cent of the working force) in Germany working on information technology and the fraction is steadily growing. It is estimated that year 2010 the fraction will be around 55 per cent. The typical workplace of today is an office. In the future it will be more often possible to do the work in a "virtual office", e.g. own home via corporate network. Vision OFFICE 21 descibes possibilities of the virtual with modern technology.
