Description
Summary:Part presentation, part Q&A, FIT's "Faces & Places in Fashion" lecture series is an opportunity to connect students and the public alike to the pulse of the fashion industry in an open and conversational setting. Since taking over the Jimmy Choo business in 2016, as President of the Americas (now part of Capri Holdings), Tanya Golesic is leading the brand into expansion as a full luxury, lifestyle omni-channel brand. Before joining Jimmy Choo, Canadian born Golesic moved to Canada to serve as Global CCO, of Canada Goose where she was charged with developing the brand into a top performing global luxury player. Ms. Golesic also spearheaded the pre IPO strategy for the company by increasing brand awareness and revenue in the US, Canada, Europe and Japan. Prior to Canada Goose, Golesic was the Global SVP of sales and planning at Marc Jacobs (LVMH) where she was credited with the launch of the “business planning” division at Marc by Marc Jacobs. This division helped to increase productivity and profitability for the brand, at which time Marc by Marc Jacobs was one of the leading contemporary accessories brands. Ms. Golesic has also served in Vice President and SVP roles with both the Jones Group and Ralph Lauren in New York. Ms. Golesic serves on the Fashion Footwear Association of New York board and the Zagreb School of Economics and Management.
