Summary:INST: L_200 The topic of the thesis work is the microbial diversity of the permafrost soils the Ojos del Salado in the Chilean Atacama Desert, focusing on the extremophile bacteria. Soil samples were taken from various depths, and to reveal the bacterial community composition, the samples were subjected to 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing. After that, we used bioinformatical methods to analyze the results.
