Description
Summary:This essay proposes the use of the rhetorical figure of the metaphor as a method for creation in design. It refers to previous theories in order to make use of this design strategy based on a literary application. It then discusses two case studies in which this procedure has been used to arrange the spatial layout of workspaces and the furniture inside of them. One of these examples is part of the doctoral research currently being undertaken by the author.
