Summary: | A small boat harbor to provide a navigation access channel and moorage for 438 commercial fishing boats is proposed for the northwestern corner of the sea pond in Lummi Bay on the Lummi Indian Reservation. The Lummi Indian Tribe requested the Seattle District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, to conduct a study to identify the feasibility of Federal assistance in the project. The tribe is the local sponsor for the Corps of Engineers study and has agreed to provide the non-Federal legal responsibilities and monetary requirements associated with project development. |
