Description
Summary:During the 5 1/2 years that this contract was active, the scientific goals evolved to include three main areas of research: (1) Typhoon monitoring using passive microwave observations, (2) The ONR tropical cyclone motion initiative, and (3) Participation in the tropical cyclone motion field experiment (TCM-90). Accomplishments and scientific results from each of these topics are summarized below, with details given in the Appendices.
