Description
Summary:Four synthetic aperture radar (SAR) data collection flights were made over Alaska and the surrounding waters in March of 1988, to obtain SAR images of sea ice and forested areas. The P-3 SAR, that operates at C-, L-, and X-bands, was used. 85 passes were collected over four days. The flights produced imagery of use to oceanographic, glaciological, geological, and botanical studies, This report describes the extent, location, and characteristics of the SAR data collected in this experiment.
