Summary:This document provides background information on the test and evaluation of special cold weather adaptation kits and military material requiring such kits. Information is presented on supplemental devices designed to adapt specific types of materiel for operation and use under arctic winter conditions. Material covered includes tank/automotive, aviation, CBR equipment, generators, communications equipment, and weapons materiel. Construction, support, and service equipment (except generators) are not discussed herein in order to limit the scope of the TOP. Supersedes report dated 13 Sep 83 and AD-770 034 dated 30 Oct 72.
