Summary:The nature of Siberia, the Arctic and Subarctic regions is exclusively sensitive to the activities of man and is easily damaged. Its protective functions are limited and everything is in a state of maximum equilibrium. In the area of wide spread permafrost the problems of the environment have three aspects: environmental pollution, destruction of ecological equilibrium, and depletion of natural resources.
