Description
Summary:The purpose of the regionalization of the Arctic region, Siberia and the Eurasian continental area is to determine the structural properties of the upper few hundred kilometers of the earth, and to determine the variation of these properties from one sub-region to another in the area under investigation. The first technical problem dealt with was the computation of experimental phase velocity curves for surface waves traversing all regions under investigation. The author is now engaged in operation of the complete set of these 44 fundamental Rayleigh wave dispersion curves. The interpretation of these data will give the regionalization of the area.
