Description
Summary:The total vertical electron content (TEC) is found from the Faraday-rotation of the 137 MHz beacon of ATS-3 recorded at Narssarssuaq. In order to see some general influence of geomagnetic activity upon TEC, the scaled values have been averaged in the following manner: step 1 - the hourly mean values have been computed; step 2 - the days have been gathered in groups of 27 days. Night time effects, afternoon decrease, and the maximum of TEC are discussed. (Author)
