Description
Summary:The US Army Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) has developed a portable burn pan that can be transported to the firing points where training occurs. In 2013, CRREL was awarded project funding by the US Department of Defense Environmental Security Technical Certification Program through Project ER-20323 for the completion of the development and the demonstration of the portable burn pan concept. A pan designed for howitzer training units has been designed and tested, meeting all the criteria set out by CRREL and ESTCP.
