Summary:The Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) conducted a bottom survey of the Kane Basin during September 1969 aboard USCGC SOUTHWIND (WAGB 280). The primary purpose of the survey was to obtain data on the composition and configuration of the Basin floor.
