Summary: | A cruise was carried out aboard R/V ATLANTIS II from October 21 to November 8, 1971 leaving from and returning to Woods Hole, MA. Work was carried out primarily along the 70th W. meridian to a latitude of 28 degrees N. Five current meter moorings were recovered and ten set. Two acoustic transponder moorings, associated with six acoustic dropsonde profiles were set and recovered. Twenty-six CTD stations and ten hydrographic stations were taken. A mooring which had previously failed due to submersion and crushing of its surface float was recovered through dragging. (Author) |
