Summary:Service approval tests of the radiometer equipment were carried out during the period 9/29/66 to 10/9/66 to assure system performance as specified in Contract CG 02,692-1A. In addition, aircraft performance data was recorded to determine the degree of reduction in performance caused by drag from the radome/fence configuration on the upper rear cargo door. Tests were conducted in Baffin Bay, the Davis Straits and the Straits of Belle Isle while operating out of airfields at Goose Bay and Shearwater, Canada and Sondrestrom and Thule, Greenland.
