Summary:Algae are listed that were found by the authors in Novaya Zemlya waters. Collection of the algae was carried out by dredging and by close inspection of the littoral zone and collection of algae thrown onto the shore. The authors found a total of 115 species as follows: one species of blue-green algae, 26 species of green algae, 48 species of brown algae and 40 species of red algae.
