Techniques for Laying Instruments in Ice-Covered Waters

The note describes techniques for laying oceanographic and meteorological instruments at stations on both fast and drifting ice. These techniques were used very successfully by the Defence Research Board of Canada to gather data in an ice drift study in Robeson Channel during the 1972 season.
