Description
Summary:The authors have studied the thermal regime of mottled tundras (West Taymyr) during the 1968 and 1969 growing seasons differeing in weather conditions. Significant differences were found in the receipt of heat in the soil of denuded patches and adjoining sectors under vegetation. The differences in the temperature conditions during comparable seasons in effect were not reflected on the maximal depth of soils' thawing. (Author) Draft trans. of Nauchnye Doklady Vysshei Shkoly.
