Observations on the Structure of the Ice Cover of Neusiedler Lake (Ueber eine Beobachtung der Struktur der Eisdecke auf dem Neusiedler-See)

On March 2nd 1956, blocks approximately 35 cm square, were chipped out of the ice at two spots on Lake Neusiedl in order to measure the intensity of light transmitted through the frozen surface. Results are discussed. Draft trans. of Wetter und Leban (Austria) v8 p73-75 1956.
