Summary:The morphology and genesis of ice formations in Central Transbaykaliya are discussed. The author classifies two types of ice formations which are prevalent in Central Transbaykaliya: channel ice formations, which occur on rivers and streams; ground ice formations, which are derived from two types of ground waters, specifically, sub-frozen ground waters and above-frozen ground waters.
