Description
Summary:The handbook includes observational materials of meteorological stations, which exist at the present time or existed at some earlier time on the territory of the Kamchatka region. The material is mainly presented for individual stations in the form of tables with explanatory text to each table or group of tables (they are similar in the method of treatment or in the presentation of the materials in them). In the section on air temperature, a certain part of the tables, mainly, probabilistic characteristics, the results of which were obtained by the appropriate statistical processing of long series of observations, is given in generalized form by regions and as a function of averages. A short description is given of the general regularities of the region and conditions of the element contained in it, the knowledge of which is necessary for correct use of the material. The section on soil temperature is augmented by characteristics of temperature, frosts on the soil surface, and data on soil freezing and thawing.
