Summary:Global short wave, reflected short wave over sea, reflected short wave over land, net total over sea and net total over land radiation were measured continuously at Pt. Barrow, Alaska in 1962. Kipp and Zonen solarimeters were used to measure the short wave radiation and Suomi ventilated radiometers were used to measure the net total radiation. Limitations and errors of these instruments are discussed. Hourly means of radiative flux density (mW minus sq cm) for each component are tabulated by day and month, and the daily energy sums (J minus sq cm) are given.
