They were the CGC CASCO, 5-26 January, CGC YAKUTAT, 16 February8 March and CGC CASTLE ROCK, 28 March18 April. Daily casts of 13 Nansen bottles were made to 1500 meters when weather conditions permitted. In addition, sampling was successfully extended to near the bottom on at least one station during each patrol.
