Summary:The primary purpose of th bibliography is to aid USA SIPRE and others conducting research on scientific and engineering aspects of snow, ice, and perennially and seasonally frozen ground. Included are such diverse topics as airplane icing, the characteristics of sea ice, various aspects of snow removal and ice control, cold regions engineering, and field investigations of snow cover, land ice, and permafrost. Each entry contains, in addition to an informative abstract, the necessary bibliographic information, a code designating a library possessing a copy of the original ( CF. P. IV), and its assigned call number. Universal Decimal Classification nu bers are taken from the schedules prepared by the Scott Polar Research Institute, Cambridge, England. (Author)
