The genome sequence of the marbled rockcod, Notothenia rossii Richardson, 1844 [version 1; peer review: 2 approved, 1 approved with reservations]

We present a genome assembly from an individual Notothenia rossii (the marbled rockcod; Chordata; Actinopterygii; Perciformes; Nototheniidae). The genome sequence is 1,042.9 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 12 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also b...

Description
Summary:We present a genome assembly from an individual Notothenia rossii (the marbled rockcod; Chordata; Actinopterygii; Perciformes; Nototheniidae). The genome sequence is 1,042.9 megabases in span. Most of the assembly is scaffolded into 12 chromosomal pseudomolecules. The mitochondrial genome has also been assembled and is 21.68 kilobases in length. Gene annotation of this assembly on Ensembl identified 24,432 protein coding genes.
