Description
Summary:The paper examines the main problems of the formation and development of the “foreign” school in the European North of Russia in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The main attention is paid to such significant factor in the process of pedagogical practice transformations as increasing the number of students, training teaching staff, and publishing educational literature. It was revealed that the “foreign” school had a significant impact on the processes of interethnic interaction throughout the territory under consideration, steadily leading to the integration of the Finno-Ugric peoples’ representatives into the Russian society.
