Summary:Assessment of special features of the bottom community formation in water bodies under the conditions of growing anthropogenic impacts seems to be an urgent task of researches aimed at the short-term and long-term monitoring of the water bodies’ status. The article presents the materials of studies of the current state of zoo/benthic communities of small lakes in the Republic of Karelia (Kitaiskoye and Plotichye) affected by anthropogenic factor.
