Summary:The article analyses the construction and commissioning of the largest project in the Russian Arctic «Yamal LNG», which was the result of a collective effort of Russia, China, France and the Republic of Korea. In the article it is emphasised that this project can serve as an example for future mutually beneficial cooperation between the countries of the Arctic Council, primarily with China. Moreover, it is also noted that the project will further stimulate the increase in the production of liquefied natural gas and the development of the infrastructure of the Northern Sea Route
