Description
Summary:The European Free Trade Association (EFTA) was created in 1960 and is the world’s oldest free trade zone. The importance of EFTA for the remaining Member States (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland) has called for higher exigencies to its senior management during the last decade. In 2004, a new framework budgeting method was introduced which lead to further reforms within the EFTA Secretariat. The lean structure of the organisation enables quick and flexible changes.
