Description
Summary:This time the conference is held in Altai, the place, which is rightfully considered as the eagle “Mecca” – the Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos), the Imperial Eagle (A. heliaca), the Steppe Eagle (A. nipalensis) and the Greater Spotted Eagle (A. clanga) nest here with the highest density in the World. The population nucleus of the Imperial Eagle is concentrated in the Kanskaya steppe – on the IBA, where all participants of the conference will go on a field excursion. In 2018 our conference had brought together the scientists from 30 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and North America. Such a broad representation is a key to further success for consolidation of specialists in the study and conservation of raptors.
