Description
Summary:Object and purpose of research. Study of the possibility to apply hydrodynamic calculations (bollard-pull system of interaction coefficients) for analysis of full-scale ice test data. Materials and methods. The study applies a new method of hydrodynamic calculations, based on the bollard-pull system of interaction coefficients. Main results: Full-scale ice test data for Vladivostok icebreaker have been analysed. Hydrodynamic calculations based on the bollard-pull system of interaction coefficients have been validated successfully. Conclusion: The results obtained allow transition from measured values of power to the total ice resistance of the ship, which enhances the analysis of full-scale test data with new capabilities.
